During a
consultation Bruce will ask you what you want to ultimately create
in your environment. He will listen carefully, capturing the deep
essence of your feelings. He will also ask questions that will guide
him to further understand your goals.
After
determining the overall project intention, you will look at the
color wheel to pick out colors that resonate with you. Under Bruce’s
talented eye, a palette is created from your basic color choices.
Bruce takes into account the architect of the building, the corners,
curves or unique building accents. He explains why there needs to be
balance and harmony with shades, tones and values within your
palette. He also explains the placement of color for your particular
architectural needs.
When your
colors have been decided, Bruce paints big sample color boards and
tapes them to the wall as a preview, or try on phase. These color
boards ensure the success of each job. The boards allow you get a
much better feel for what the completed room or project will look
like. You can make revisions at this time.
You are given a written
report for reference. At all times, you are kept current with the
colors and their placement. Within the report will be small sample
boards for you to use when adding new items to the environment.
The report is
also a tool to use with your painter. It lists types of sheen and
paints to use.
Although
not a trained designer, Bruce can speak to you with regard to the
shape, style and color of the furnishings of a room and how they
will play into your new color scheme.
